Makinarium

In the sector of Visual FX, Makinarium continues an important research on the balance between artistic and technical direction.

Not only for the development and finalisation of integrated techniques that Visual FX are fundamental for its research.

With the experience gained from its international supervisors, Makinarium is placed at the center of a network of specialised partners in each department of VFX.

The work on concept art is resulting almost naturally in the work of look design for both creatures of sets, up to the Matte Painting.

Starting from a European cinema, it comes very natural to be confronted with very delicate choices of a film director, hovering between photographic and pictorial realism.

For this exact reason, the vision of its artists, even before that of its technicians, has allowed this young company to lead the groups of visual effects worldwide.

For this, major part of it research is directed towards techniques of pre-visualisation and programming of their management software.

This way alongside with the design of creatures and places, of the sets and of the overall look of a film, animatics and pre-viz are being developed in all their forms.

The use of structured light scanners, photogrammetry drones and motion sensors assist very efficiently the work of 3D and CGI artists which is behind many complex solutions.

The vision of Makinarium, the conception itself of the visual effects for a movie involve the broadest mix of techniques possible.

The abuse on Visual FX explicitly declared does not result to be productive for any cinematographic vision. For this it is important the continuos study and development for them to be invisible.

Currently under development in the Makinarium laboratories are the programs and support methods for pre-viewing and management techniques for pure VFX. All that is next to the ongoing research on their better integration with Practical and Optical Effects.
